In the crazy world we live in, stress and anxiety can overwhelm anyone. The good news is that anxiety is very treatable. In my work as a scientist, I know firsthand the strong connection between anxiety and the nervous system, and I use this information to educate you about what your brain is doing to make you feel dysregulated. We can work together using talk therapy, somatic techniques, and mindfulness to restore peace and calm in your life.

ADJUSTMENT DISORDERS
Major life changes can be stressful, but we usually adjust to our new circumstances. Sometimes, however, that adjustment doesn't happen as easily as we would like. An adjustment disorder is a strong or maladaptive reaction to a psychosocial life stressor. Adjustment disorders can make you more reactive than normal. You might cry more easily or feel like you are reaching a breaking point. Some people with an adjustment disorder overindulge in risky behaviors or act impulsively.
